At Delta Dental Offices, the technology we use helps us provide patients with efficient dental care including digital and panoramic x-rays.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Delta Dental Offices, technology helps us with many facets of our practice, from planning treatments to making sure your dental appointments run smoothly. We can display digital scans and x-rays on monitors in our treatment rooms, and show you any issues in your mouth before walking you through your treatment plan.
We're on a mission to provide patients with efficient dental care, and ensure they are fully informed regarding their oral health. Dental technology helps us accomplish this goal.
Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to bring us highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Using panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. These x-rays are typically used to help plan treatments for implants, dentures, extractions and braces.
